All-on-4® Treatment Concept
At Nobel BioCare, we are working to change your perception of dentures. You do not have to live with loose, shifting, dentures that limit the foods you can eat or inhibit your ability to taste. By having your dentures surgically retained with the All-on-4® Treatment Concept, you can do more than eat your favorite foods; you can forget that you are wearing dentures. Our team of doctors has created a system that permanently stabilizes your denture device. We have taken your comfort needs into consideration, and the difference is huge. Following planning, the All-on-4® Treatment Concept allows you to walk into your dentist office with no healthy teeth, and leave with a mouthful of permanent teeth.

The All-on-4® Treatment Concept takes your dentures and attaches them directly to your jawbone. They are not retained with glue, adhesives, or suction. The roof of your mouth does not need to be covered, and they will not shift or wiggle in your mouth causing sore spots.

What is the All-on-4® Treatment Concept?

When a patient gets dentures, it is often a loose set of teeth that are kept in place using suction or a store bought adhesive. This is because there is no anchor, nothing to attach the denture to. These simple retention options are a set-up for failure. The will never be able to provide true retention, and the patient will always be worried about their denture slipping and moving. This can cause embarrassment, limit the variety of foods they can eat, and cause physical discomfort from the rubbing on your gums.

The All-on-4® Treatment Concept provides that anchor that is needed to stabilize your denture device. We secure your denture permanently by anchoring it with four dental implants. Using this system, dentists can secure either your upper arch denture or your lower arch denture permanently in place. With your denture secured, you are then able to use them as you once used your natural teeth.

Dental implants come in a variety of lengths and widths, and depending on the procedure, your dentist may require a preparatory bone graft to bulk up the bone and provide the necessary space for the implant. This is not true for the All-on-4® Treatment Concept. This system uses different implants than other tooth implant systems. Even if you have already been wearing dentures for years, we can surgically place your denture without a bone graft. The All-on-4® Treatment Concept uses implants that are longer, and placed at an angle, allowing them to grab thicker, denser bone when setting.

What is the surgical process for placing the All-on-4® Treatment Concept?

Before surgery, it is important to meet with your dentist or surgeon and review your medical needs. They will want clear information on your entire health, even if you feel the condition is irrelevant to your oral health, and any medications you are taking. There are some medications, health conditions, and personal habits that can decrease your ability to heal. This will not eliminate you as a candidate for surgery, but you may need to work with your personal physician to make some adjustments before surgery.

Once your dentist has reviewed your medical history and created a clear map for placing your implants, the surgical procedure is fast. The All-on-4® Treatment Concept system will use your denture device, either one that you already have, or one that your dentist can create for you, and then surgically attaches it to your jaw using four titanium posts. These metal posts are biocompatible rods that resemble a screw in shape and size. Titanium is the metal of choice by surgeons because your body is willing to heal around it, making connections with it, that will bond it to the bone. Once fully healed, the titanium rod is solidly in place.
